Pretty modern and functional. You need to lock your belongings before entering the library. The building also has a cafe, galleries and shop.
A beautifully designed contemporary building housing some treasures of information. There’s a separate corner allocated to Tutankhamen Exhibition and another room for the rare books. There’s a cafeteria providing food and drinks at reasonable prices and the shop in one corner. There are excellent public facilities provided on site.
What a fantastic place, as a venue services the aims of the Bodleian and is a home to its shop.
Great for coffee and snax and oft an exhibition to pass away time should you need to, great meeting point and in between two pubs.
Its stunning architecture, extensive collection, and helpful staff create an ideal environment for research. It's a must-visit for anyone passionate about learning and exploration.
The Weston Library is part of the Bodleian Library, the main research library of the University of Oxford. In addition to purchasing tickets to tour the Bodleian, the Weston Library is a working library and research center, as well as a public event and exhibition space. The library has reading rooms, seminar rooms, and other study spaces, We saw Alphabets Alive! in the exhibit space, a fantastic collection of medieval and modern books and alphabets.
Loved today’s exhibition on ‘Gifts and Books’ - wondrous! Also, lovely talking to the interesting staff member there
I was looking for a bathroom so I walked into this place purely on chance. Not only did they have a bathroom, They have a nice cafe in a huge airy space with lots of light and there was also 2 amazing art exhibits free to the public. Both about the the history of photography in Oxford and England. I went in to too quickly pee and came out 90 minutes later with a latte and feeling slightly more educated. And for the rest of the day I was wondering what the boundaries of traditional photography, and what is its purpose in this digital age.
A beautiful building and popular place for coffee and lunch. A gift shop is also very nice.
